LAW-TRAIN at USECON Webinar
On 16th of May, USECON’s second episode in a series of webinars in 2017 has been streamed. The subject on this time’s webinar was “Virtual & Augmented Reality”, where Alina Köhler, Lead of WP8 “Dissemination & Exploitation”, told the audience about LAW-TRAIN in the use cases for virtual reality, as this is a best practise example of how virtual, augmented and mixed reality can be transferred into an actual working project. The directly invited audience who watched the live stream included responsible persons from academic institutions as well as economic businesses who are interested in the fields of innovation, technology and research.
First, the basics of this H2020, EU-funded project were explained: That the aim of LAW-TRAIN is to build a platform for joint investigate interviewing, why it is essential to have a platform like this, as crime is not only a national problem and law enforcement agencies of different countries need to work together. Alina also explained how the virtual platform works, including the virtual suspect, the virtual platform, selectable environments and the virtual trainer.
You can watch the webinar on USECON’s youtube channel – the example of LAW-TRAIN starts at 34:05 (in German).
The presentation can also be viewed on Slideshare – slide 25 (in German).
